At Wardrobe Apparel, goals and inspiration for 2018 are as important to us as the clothes we wear and the designers we love.
As always, one of our goals as an online and local business is to offer shoppers locally and throughout Canada and the United States access to our designers. We have streamlined our online store, delivering pieces and styling for clients across the globe.
We’ve asked CEO Alexandra Thompson what her personal goals and inspirations are for 2018:
Alex: “Overall, Wardrobe Apparel has been growing steadily both in loyal customers and designers we carry, which is of course successful for the business. Personally, I want to redefine what success means to me. In order to keep being inspired within fashion, I need to make sure that I stay focused internally. Being in touch with the inspiration I originally felt when starting Wardrobe Apparel means, to me, to stay grounded. To not get lost in sales and marketing, and to continue to keep concentrating on the pieces and the designers. Which is why my personal goals are to continue to uphold and demand quality over quantity - in fashion and in life.”
Who inspires you?
Alex: “In one person, Meghan Markle. She has an absolutely stunning wardrobe, and the woman is a humanitarian. She’s an outspoken activist for women’s rights, a global ambassador for World Vision Canada, and has done her part for the Clear Water Campaign in Rwanda, to say the least.”
Not to mention she’s engaged to Prince Harry, who she met at a charity event. Can it get any more perfect than that?
Alex: “As far as fashion icons go, Meghan Markle’s used her personal fame to try and better the world. She also stays true to her Canadian loyalties, style-wise. I’ve seen photos of her in a beautiful Mackage wool coat (a Montreal-based label) and her engagement announcement to Prince Harry was in a The Label white wrap coat (The Label is a Toronto-based brand). When she was photographed wearing Finlay & Co. sunglasses, our stock sold out almost immediately. It’s wonderful how much brand influence she has.”
